Dolci Bar—> “Sweets Bar” in Italian--"Bar” is actually a borrowed word from the English language!
Here at Dolci Bar, we specialize in sweet bars or dessert tables.  Our ambition is to create a variety of enticing mini desserts to suit everyone’s palette at weddings, birthdays (adults & kids), tea parties and other special occasions. Each bar is customizable and we will work closely with you to create something that is truly unique and fit for your taste, theme and budget.

Michelle Chan, often crowned the "Social Butterfly" started entertaining family and friends at a young age. From garden tea parties to picnics at the park to intimate dinner parties and event-planning, this creative being finds every chance to throw a good party or get-together for loved ones. As a Virgo, she has always had an eye for detail and a strong desire for perfection. Hence, she wanted to start a service that incorporates all of her passions and hobbies: planning/organizing, baking and creating unique things.

Michelle graduated from the California Culinary Academy in 2007 with a certificate in Baking and Pastry Arts. Since then, she has worked at the Slanted Door in the Ferry Building and gained experience in production and plating skills through this fast-paced restaurant. To broaden her experience, she accepted a job offer from the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe in beautiful Incline Village. She worked alongside other Pastry Chefs to operate all outlets throughout the hotel including four on-site restaurants, catering, banquets, special events, Regency Club, room service, etc. Working at the Hyatt gave her the opportunity to learn about mass production, menu-planning and time management.

After two years of being away from San Francisco, she decided to move back to her hometown. She realized that there is a demand for customizable dessert catering with personable service, so she launched Dolci Bar in September 2010. Her experience yields professionalism, her easy-going personality fabricates smiles & ease and her not-too-sweet, yet visually-stunning desserts will leave you astounded.
